Welcome to Wegmans Auburn, a cherished cornerstone of the Auburn community located at 1 Loop Rd, Auburn, NY 13021. This family-owned grocery store is known not only for its extensive selection of fresh produce and essentials but also for its exceptional prepared foods that keep customers returning. As a food reviewer for Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of exploring this delightful establishment and uncovering what makes it stand out among other Wegmans locations.
Despite being one of the smaller Wegmans stores, Auburn manages to pack in a surprising variety of quality finds. Patrons can indulge in a range of in-house dinners, from delicious beer-battered fish and chips to crispy fried chicken—each dish prepared with love and expertise. Local customer Marshall G. praised the freshness and variety available, affirming that Wegmans can always be counted on when you need a satisfying meal to take home.
Diane M. echoed this sentiment, showcasing the convenience and deliciousness of their ready-to-eat options, while also commenting on the affordable prices. At just $16.00 for a complete dinner, it's hard to argue against the value offered here. You can be sure that every bite is imbued with the quality that Wegmans is famous for, with the added benefit of being a quick solution for busy lives.
Shopping at Wegmans Auburn is an experience in itself. The store is known for its clean and welcoming environment, highlighted by friendly staff that aim to assist, although it's worth noting that some customers, like Mischi B., found the aisles a bit crowded from time to time. Yet, the ambiance is inviting, making it a delightful destination for both grocery shopping and casual meals.
And while it may not feature the extensive selection of newer Wegmans stores, Josh S. assures us that the essentials remain solid. With familiar staples and "better than name-brand" store offerings, this location proves that even smaller supermarkets can deliver the quality and service that Wegmans is known for.
In conclusion, Wegmans Auburn is not just a grocery store; it’s a hub for delicious meals, fresh ingredients, and a sense of community. Whether you’re looking to grab a quick dinner, shop for weekly groceries, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, this Wegmans locale promises an experience rich in flavor and quality that truly showcases the essence of what Wegmans represents.

TIP: hours on yelp should read 6 am to midnight. I have been to other Wegmans in New York. This is a nice one too. I just needed a in house dinner to take back to the hotel and breakfast. Found everything I wanted. Nice n fresh. You can always count on Wegmans for Variety!

This was a smaller size then I'm used to but it's still packed with plenty of good finds. We tried this time for the first time to to go dinners. Beer battered fish and chips ! Delicious. 15 minutes in the oven and so tasty dinner ! Grabbed the coleslaw and Wallah dinner. Only 16.00. Tonight is going to be the fried chicken. Wished we lived closer to Wegmans. They are great !!!

Nice place and good election. Great deli. However isles are crowded and staff ignores you. All registers open is great. Prices a bit high but okay.

If you've been to a lot of Wegmans locations, particularly in Central and Western New York, you know that they generally come in two flavors. There's the "mega Wegmans" that has been expanding along the East Coast and then there are older locations that are closer to the size of a typical supermarket. This is one of those older stores. Don't be disappointed though, as a "bad" Wegmans just doesn't exist. The prepared food here, while a smaller selection than found at newer stores, is just as good, and you can buy most of your Wegmans staples. Driving back home to Albany after visiting family on Easter, the Auburn Wegmans is the last one I pass. Lunchtime and a need to stock up on Wegmans products brought be inside the doors. Smaller beer selection here than I'm used to and I didn't see a bulk section, but that's okay. They have the staples and the "better than name brand" store brand items. The 4 stars isn't because it's the best Wegmans I have ever been to, but this location is very clean and the staff is friendly. The restrooms and small dining area were spotless. Combine that with this being the best supermarket in the area and I think it deserves to be rated like the best.
